- Upper layer means the layer positioned immediately above (upper position) the wood fibres agglomerate.

- Decorative layer consisting in a wood, cork: or any other type of sheet decorative material having similar .characteristics, imparting a decorative visual to the product;
- Balance sheet a laminated product sheet or film intended to balance the stresses due to the upper coating and the decorative layer;
- Lower layer (Backing) layer of cork agglomerate or of any other material with similar characteristics that enhances the product its impact sound reduction ability and provides the necessary adaptation to irregular surfaced substratum.
