Abstract

The present invention provides a semi-covert security feature using a combination of prints with cholesteric liquid crystal (CLC) pigments having specific optical rotations, with or without regular non-polarized pigments of matching colors, and an inspection device having lenses of specific optical rotations, with or without non-polarizing lens. The method of the present invention allows an inspection of commercial products or secure documents (e.g., cigarette packaging, event and transport tickets, etc.) by simply looking through the inspection glasses at a distance and provides them with easy and inexpensive security protection.
