Abstract

The invention relates to the use a η-butyrolactone degradation pathway inductor for increasing the enzymatic degradation of a N-acyl homoserine lactone of Gram-negative pathogenic bacteria sensitive to a N-acyl homoserine lactone apart from butyric and α-hydroxy-β-methylbutyric acids and to the application thereof, in particular for agriculture, the agri-food industry and human and animal medicine.
