Abstract

Illumination system for videoprojectors comprising: a light beam (1, 1’); first means (12, 12’, 13) adapted to decompose said light beam (1, 1’) in a plurality of monochromatic components; a plurality of DMD devices (8, 9, 10) each of which reflects one of said monochromatic components; a plurality of devices (14, 14’, 14’’, 14’’’, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21) adapted to send said monochromatic components towards said plurality of DMD devices (8, 9, 10); characterized in that there are second means (D1, D2, 22, 23, 24, 25, 27, 28, 29) separate from said first means (12, 12’, 13) and adapted to the recomposition of said monochromatic components coming from said DMD devices (8, 9, 10) in a light beam (11) to be sent to a projection lens (7).
