Abstract

A suspension system for a vehicle having a wheel assembly includes a first suspension arm extending between the wheel assembly and the vehicle, the first suspension arm defining an upper control plane. A second suspension arm also extends between the wheel assembly and the vehicle and defines a lower control plane. An upper control arm intersection line is formed by the intersection of the upper control plane with a transverse, vertical plane that passes through a centerline of the wheel assembly, and a lower control arm intersection line is formed by the intersection of the upper control plane with the transverse, vertical plane that passes through the centerline of the wheel assembly. The upper control arm intersection line crosses the lower control arm intersection line when the vehicle is viewed from a direction substantially perpendicular to the transverse, vertical plane.
