Abstract

The invention relates to a ferrite material with a hexaferrite structure, characterised by the following formula: A1-xByCZDtCuvFel2-WOl9 with 2(x-z-v) + 3(w-y) - 4t = 0, A = Ba, Sr, Ca or Pb, B = Al, Cr, Ga, Bi, B, La, Y or a rare earth, C = Co, Zn, Cd, Ni, Mg or Mn, D = Ti, Sn, Zr, Si, Ge, where 0<x <0.30, 0<y<0.30, 0<z<0.30, 0<t<0.30, 0.05 <v< 0.30, 0 <w< 0.90. Said ferrite material is particularly suitable for use as a low-cost permanent magnet. The invention further relates to a method for production of such a material and is of application to hyper-frequency circulators.
