Abstract

L'invention concerne un mécanisme de repliement et de déploiement d'un toit rigide escamotable de véhicule automobile, ledit toit étant susceptible d'adopter une position déployée où il recouvre l'habitacle du véhicule et une position repliée où il est rangé dans le coffre du véhicule, ledit toit comportant au moins un élément avant (1) et un élément arrière (2), la partie arrière de l'élément avant étant articulée à la partie avant de l'élément arrière autour d'un premier axe transversal (5) et l'élément arrière étant articulé au châssis du véhicule autour d'un deuxième axe transversal (6). Ce mécanisme comprend un premier pignon (8) monté sur ledit premier axe transversal, fixe par rapport audit élément avant, une première crémaillère (14) engrenant avec ledit premier pignon, et des moyens d'entraînement (9, 15, 11 ; 9, 22, 23 ; 30-32) pour déplacer ladite crémaillère en réponse au pivotement dudit élément arrière autour dudit deuxième axe transversal.
