Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil de chauffage électrique par rayonnement (2) à utiliser derrière une plaque (4) d'un matériau transmetteur de rayons visibles. Cet appareil de chauffage (2) comporte une base (8) faite d'un matériau à isolation thermique et électrique possédant une surface soutenant au moins un élément de chauffage électrique (10). Une paroi périphérique (14) du matériau à isolation thermique vient en prise avec une surface arrière de la plaque (4) et définit une zone chauffée (16). L'élément de chauffage (10) possède au moins une région d'extrémité (26) qui passe à travers au moins une ouverture (28) dans la paroi périphérique (14) et est relié électriquement à au moins un moyen d'extrémité électrique (24) au moins au niveau d'une région de connexion (30). Au moins un écran (32) recouvre au moins une partie de la région d'extrémité (26) de l'élément de chauffage (10) à proximité de la région de connexion (30) et est conçu et disposé de manière à sensiblement faire écran, à travers la plaque (4), à l'extérieur de la zone chauffée (16), aux rayons visibles issus de la région d'extrémité (26) au cours de la mise en marche de l'appareil de chauffage (2).
