Abstract

The subject of the usability model is a liquid propane-butane gas tank which is used in all kinds of vehicles driven by liquid propane-butane (LPG9. It features featuring the fact that its outside surface (1) is coated with a gluing agent (2), and permanently joined with a textile material (3).

Description

The liquid propane-butane gas tank
The subject of the usability model is a liquid propane-butane gas tank which is used in all kinds of vehicles driven by liquid propane-butane (LPG).
Up till now, traditional metal liquid propane-butane gas tanks have had their outside surface coated with lacquer. Such type of surface protection, however, is not durable enough. Even with small hits, the coated surface gets scratched and bursts, which causes the lacquer coating to splinter. Therefore, the durability of the traditional tanks, i.e. those with lacquer coated surface, is short-lived.
The liquid propane-butane gas tank, which is the subject of the usability model, made of metal and of the traditional cylindrical shape, has its outside surface coated with a gluing agent and permanently joined with a textile material.
A tank fabricated in this manner demonstrates a high resistance towards all kinds of mechanical damage, towards abrasion, and towards external hits. Moreover, it exhibits a high thermal insulation resistance; and it hampers, or even completely absorbs, undesired sounds which occur, for instance, in the process of filling an empty tank with the liquid propane-butane gas. It also damps other undesired sounds occurring while driving the car. Appropriately matched textile material's parameters (such as self- ignition resistance, dust resistance, or thermal resistance) decide about the tank's high functional and usability values.
Furthermore, the tank's surface covered with the textile material allows it to be maintained in a clean condition. Its colour can be matched with the colour of the other elements of the car's upholstery, which are also covered with the textile material. This, in consequence, allows to acquire high aesthetics of the whole equipment of a car.
The usability model is illustrated at the drawings enclosed, where Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of the tank, and Fig.2 shows its cross-section.
As indicated at the drawing - the tank's outside surface I is coated with a thin layer of a gluing agent 2, and then permanently joined with the textile material 3.
