Package, especially for small flat items
Technical field
The technical solution relates to a package, especially for storage of small flat items. The package can be used for hanging on a selling rack, or can be attached to a suitable surface.
Background of the invention
The currently known packages for storage of small items, which are hung on bars of various racks or boards in shops, consist in fact of cardboard and print, forming the rear part of the package. Transparent plastic foil is usually attached to the cardboard, forming the front part of the package, and the whole package is furnished with an opening for hanging on a rack or a board. In this case, the items, which the package should contain, are inserted in the package before attachment of the transparent foil, which is attached either using the usual adhesive, or thermally. The foil is usually shaped after the shape of the inserted item. In production, the whole surface of the cardboard is coated with a layer of heat-waldable varnish. After placing of the required item on the cardboard, the foil is attached, and is welded to the cardboard at the whole perimeter using heat. In some cases, the rear part, i.e. the cardboard, is perforated.
In another known solution of such package, the cardboard with print is inserted in a transparent bag, the required item is inserted, and the free end of the bag is sealed or welded.
The opening for hanging, also called Euro-hanging, is created
either before completion and insertion of the required item, or after its insertion.
Another known solution is envelopes furnished with transparent foil on the front side. The envelopes are usually made of paper, with small cutout window on the front side. The small window is furnished with foil, which is attached from the inner side of the envelope.
For storage of flat items, packages consisting of foils welded at the perimeter are used as well. The packages usually have the front foil transparent, and the rear foil non- transparent, usually of different stock weights, or consist of transparent foils of the same stock weight. These packages are usually also furnished by the so-called Euro-hanging.
The drawback of the known selling packages is especially the large labour consumption in their assembling, filling and closing. In case a transparent foil is used, even if the cardboard is perforated, permanent destruction of the package usually occurs in fact after it is opened, so the item inserted in the package cannot be inserted again. In addition to that, use of heat-welded varnish on the whole surface of the cardboard is uneconomical, and disposal of wastes from foil packages is expensive as well.
Summary of the invention
The above-mentioned drawbacks are eliminated by a package, especially for storage of small flat items, consisting of a sheet of solid material, which is at least on a part of its one side furnished with transparent foil, according to this technical solution. Its substance is a transparent foil, which
is at least along one half of its perimeter connected with the sheet of solid material consisting of cardboard using a sticky joint, so that a flat pocket is formed.
The sheet of solid material is conveniently formed of cardboard made of paper with print. The transparent foil can be furnished with at least one adhesive closing at the part of the perimeter, which is not connected with the sheet of solid material. On the part of the perimeter, which is not connected with the sheet of solid material, the transparent foil is conveniently furnished with folded adhesive closing extending to the other side of the sheet of solid material. The transparent foil can be also connected with the sheet of solid material at its whole perimeter, and the sheet of solid material is then furnished with an opening element in the form of perforation, furnished with an adhesive closing. The sheet of solid material can also consist of self-adhesive paper furnished with an incision line for removal of the protective paper from the self- adhesive layer.
The sheet of solid material and/or the transparent foil is conveniently furnished, close to one of its edges, with at least one hanging opening for hanging on a selling rack or board. The sheet of solid material and/or the transparent foil can be furnished, close to one of its edges, with a folding line, to which a hanging opening is specularly located in the sheet and/or the transparent foil.
The transparent foil allows easy determination of the package contents, and thanks to the adhesive joint, there is a flat pocket using a large area of the sheet of solid material, which also supports the required solidity of the package. The sheet of solid material can be used as the surface for printing
of the instructions, advertisements, and the like. The adhesive closing prevents undesired intrusion in the package before it is sold. The perforation in the sheet of solid material allows accessing the package from the rear side, while the foil remains intact.
The incision line on the protective paper on the self- adhesive layer allows easier removal of the protective paper on the required area.
The hanging opening allows hanging of the package on a selling rack or board. In case the sheet of solid material and/or the transparent foil are, close to one of their edges, furnished with a folding line, to which the hanging opening is specularly located in the sheet and/or the transparent foil, a hanging opening with higher strength is created, and the probability of undesired intrusion in the package is further reduced.
The advantage of a package created in this way is especially its production simplicity, and thus reduced costs compared to the known packages of the same type. The package can be produced using one printer engine in fact, and no special equipment is necessary. Several machines are necessary for filling of the known packages in combination of cardboard and transparent foil - printer engine for printing of the cardboard, press for production of the self-supporting container for storage of the product. A wrapping machine or a substance with addition of heat is necessary for completion. The product supplier or packer receives the packages as semi-products.
The advantage of the suggested solution is also its higher ecological economy, because a foil with thickness of generally a
few, maximum tens of micrometers, is used for the production in addition to the cardboard.
Another advantage is that the product is inserted in a finished package, and the packages can be thus produced by another producer than the producer of the inserted goods . Another appreciable advantage is the fact that the package can be used even after the user takes the product out of the package, because the package is not destroyed.
Another advantage is also the possibility to attach such package to a suitable surface.
The advantage of the solution thus consist in the fact that on one machine, without using any special tools or substances, a complete package is produced, i.e. the cardboard or self- adhesive material, which can be also printed on both sides, is printed, the foil is applied and attached, perforation and cutouts of the "Euro-hanging" are made, and the package receives its final shape at the output from the machine.
This package, which can be conveniently used for printing- art products, is then produced on the same equipment as the products are.
Brief description of the drawings
An example of realization of the package according to the presented solution is schematically outlined in the enclosed drawings. In pictures 1 and 2, there is the solution with the folding line and specularly located hanging openings. In pictures 3 to 6, the variant with partial coverage by the foil and the Euro-hanging is shown. In pictures 7 to 10, the variant
in the form of envelope is shown, and in pictures 11 and 12, the variant with perforation in the sheet of solid material and the sticker is shown.
Detailed description of the preferred embodiment
The rear side of the package, which is intended especially for storage of small flat items, consists of sheet 1 , consisting of cardboard, which is furnished with print on one or both sides, which includes e.g. the information on the producer, product name, operating instructions, and the like, and is frequently accompanied with picture elements. The front side of sheet 1 is covered with transparent foil 2. The upper edge of these both parts is furnished with hanging opening 3, which serves for hanging on a selling rack or board. Sheet 1 in the form of cardboard is furnished with adhesive joint , consisting of a layer of adhesive, but only on a part of its surface, which corresponds to the size of the a part of the perimeter of transparent foil 2, which will be applied. The cardboard, including foil, which is furnished with specularly located hanging openings 3_, can be folded in folding line 5, as shown in pictures 1 and 2. Transparent foil 2 will be usually in the shape of rectangle or square, and in such case, at least three its sides will be attached to sheet 1 . Transparent foil 2 attached in this way is furnished with an opening element, which serves to insertion of the required item after production of the package, and later to possible repeated insertion and removal of the product by the user.
Transparent foil 2 is attached to sheet 1 only at three its sides, and thus forms an entry opening in the formed pocket. The closing element consists of adhesive closing 6, or of a sealing wire or another similar element. The package is closed either by
folding of the upper part along folding line 5 and securing with adhesive closing _6, as shown in pictures 1 and 2, or using adhesive closing _6 as shown in pictures 4 to β. Or using adhesive closing 6 on the rear side of the package, as shown in pictures 11 and 12.
In the examples in pictures 7 to 12, the opening element is made in the form of perforation 8 in the sheet of solid material, which is furnished with adhesive closing 6. During insertion of the item in the package, perforation 8 is simply burst open, and the entry opening is then closed using adhesive closing 6.
The rear side of sheet 1 of the solid material can be made of self-adhesive paper, which is furnished with incision line 9, see pictures 2, 3, 10 and 12, serving to easier removal of the protective paper of the self-adhesive layer for one thing, and to determination of the size and shape of self-adhesive area _1T for another.
Sheets 1 of solid material can be made with paper stock weight, which ranges between 90 to 400 g/m2 in normal use.
Lamination foil with thickness of approximately 15 micrometers is used as transparent foil 2 , but other foils can be used as well, for example to create a pocket with shaped surface.
Industrial applications
The package according to the submitted solution can be used for insertion of various types of small items, and is intended especially for flat items. Of course, the mentioned solution can be modified to plastic items as well, where the difference will consist in the fact that a transparent shaped foil will be used.
