Definitions
- the present invention discloses the art of manufacturing paper and more particularly to an innovative multiply pressurized head box section and the preparation of a super long fiber for the manufacturing of a super reinforced web.
- Paper making machines generally obtain virgin pulp from hard and soft wood Kraft to process the fiber by chemical means.
- paper mills use equipment to select the fiber like it is done in mills that produce paper out of sugar cane bagasse; mills in general use equipment and chemicals for the stock preparation, fiber cleaning and refining before the stock is pumped into a single or multiply head box, as it is disclosed in Janda ' s and Vinson's , thereafter the fiber in a liquid solution, is sprayed or deposited as a single or multi-layered web on the forming table or crescent former, as it is disclosed in Vinson's and Janda ' s invention.
- the web From its formation at the output of the multiply head box, the web is carried on the crescent former, as it is done in Janda 1 s, or on the wire as disclosed in Vinson's which is an apparatus commonly referred to as “Fourdrinier , " where the water evacuation process begins.
- Vinson's which is an apparatus commonly referred to as "Fourdrinier , " where the water evacuation process begins.
- the web Out of the web forming section, the web enters the press section where the web continues to be shaped and formed into the desired product. From the presses the web continues flowing to the dryer section; in Vinson's and Janda ' s the drying and creping is substantially completed in a Yankee dryer with creping doctor blades .
- multiply head box is the invention disclosed by Vinson, U.S. Patent No. 5,865,950, entitled “Process for Creping Tissue Paper", issued February 2, 1999.
- Vinson's invention disclose a multiply head box with three chambers at 180° with the horizontal x-axis, see schematic figure B sheet 2/2, where the blending of the fibers occur at the vertex point of the multiply head box and then sprayed out to the Fourdrinier where the web starts its formation as a multi-layered web or even on layer web.
- the main purpose of Vinson in his invention is to process a high quality creped soft tissue paper using high adhesion and doctorability for dry creping.
- Vinson uses short fiber from hard wood Kraft and the long fiber from soft Kraft wood to process dry creping tissue paper.
- Patent No. 5,178,729 entitled HIGH PURITY STRATIFIED TISSUE AND METHOD OF MAKING SAME, issued Jan. 12, 1993.
- Janda disclosed a multiple head box divided into two and three sections with appropriate flow path for supplying two and three layers furnished thereto.
- the multiply head box is' depicted in an angle of approximately 45° see schematic fig. A 2/2 sheet.
- Janda ' s invention the short fiber comes fro , ard wood Kraft and the so called long fiber from soft Kraft wood, they blend together to produce a high quality soft tissue.
- the main purpose of Janda in his invention is to process a foam-formed nonlaminated stratified tissue paper dried in a Yankee Dryer provided with doctor blades .
- the paper manufacturing process is performed with recycled waste paper to get the short fiber which works simultaneously with the super long fiber preparation to manufacture a liner board paper strong resistant to breaking, while it is used to transport heavy materials in heavy duty paper sacks or corrugated boxes.
- the super long fiber that is pumped into the chamber 28 of the multiply head box through an independing pipe line will get blended with the recycled fiber at the chamber 29 of the twin head box.
- the recycled fiber is pumped into the chamber 29 through a second pipe line into the multiply head box which is an important part of the present invention.
- Figure A embodiment 500, shown in page 1/2, is a schematic illustrating one embodiment major features of the present invention.
- the configuration depicted in figure A comprises the super long fiber preparation equipment and the inlet of the recycled fiber flowing into the chamber 29 of the Twin Head Box.
- the super long fiber is sprayed or deposited from the chamber 28 into the chamber 29 of the Twin Head Box where the super long fiber extracted from the "YUTE” or “BANANA STEM” blend together with recycled fiber and then sprayed or deposited as a web of wet paper material on the forming table.
- the Multiply Head box is depicted in a vertical way as it is shown in the schematic figure C page 2/2.
- the blending of super long and short fiber occurs at the chamber 29 to be deposited on the wire or forming table 31 in the form of a single layer web; from here the web is carried on to the presses and thereafter to the multiply dryers.
- Figure A, embodiment 500 page 1/2 is a schematic illustrating "major features of the super long fiber preparation" which is an important section of the present 120 invention.
- Figure A, embodiment 500 page 1/2 is a schematic illustrating major feautures of "The Twin Head Box,” which is an important section of the present invention.
- FIG. 500 page 1/2 is a schematic illustrating one preferred embodiment illustrating major feautures of the present invention.
- the configuration depicted in figure A comprises equipment and features detailed as follows .
- the raw material 1 which is "YUTE” or “BANANA STEM” or any other substitute with super long fiber, is dumped on the conveyor 2 to enter the ingress 3 to be cut by the slitter blades in sections of 1/4", 1/2", 3/4" or even longer if desired or as needed.
- the material 1 shreddered is transported by a pallet conveyor 5 to a secondary shredder 6 which will finish what ever work was not accomplished by the primary shredder 4.
- third belt conveyor 7 transport the material 1 to a de- fibrator 8 which in turn separates the bundles of the fiber from each other.
- This de-fibrator 8 finish the job that the shredders 4 and 6 did not accomplish.
- the stripped material is then transported by a fourth pallet conveyor 9 dumping it
- this shaker screen is provided with showers to help the screening and selection of the fiber by getting rid of the fragments of the YUTE ' S shell or Banana's fragments.
- the rejects from the primary shaker screen 10 flow to a
- This material keeps on moving transported by a belt conveyor 12 to the shaker screen 13 which in turn dumps the material selected on the conveyor 14 to return the selected material to the secondary shaker screen 15. This material in form of a fiber is dumped into the dump chest 16.
- the fiber is pumped to the de-flaker 18 which de-fibrates the bundles of the fiber.
- the fiber in the dump chest 16 has a consistancy of approximately 14%; when the fiber at 14% consistency is pumped to the de-flaker 18 it is diluted with
- the help of a consistency regulator control 19 to a consistency of approximately 4% before it enters into the de- flaker 18. From here the fiber flows to the washers 20 and 21 where the fiber is cleaned with the help of showers 22 and 23.
- the showers are a mix of hot water either with caustic soda or
- the fiber already cleaned and selected is dumped into a STORAGE TANK 24 which is furnished with agitators and high pressure showers so, the fibers float freely apart from each other in a liquid solution. From this storage tank 24 the
- 170 fibers are pumped with pump 25 to the first chamber 28 of the twin head box.
- the pump 25 is connected in the outlet of the pump to a consistency regulator control 26 in order to dilute the fiber to the required consistency before it flows to the first pressurized chamber 28 of the twin head box to continue
- the line between the storage chest 24 and the inlet of the first chamber 28 of the twin head box is provided with a bypass 27 to deviate the flowing of the fiber to the second chamber 29 of the twin head box if so desired to obtain a 185 better bond of the fiber on the web,
