Abstract

Disclosed is a bath towel cloth for removing dirt from the skin by rubbing, which is fabricated by causing a plain cloth to be corrugated to have a plurality of crimps thereon, and then sewing the corrugated cloth to prevent the crimps from being flattening, and which can be manufactured into band type, mitten type, and palm mitten type bath towels. Since the bath towel contains a large amount of air pockets in its crimps, the bath towel can become soft and can thus prevent abrasion of the skin. The bath towel can absorb a large amount of soapy water in the air pockets, and thus allows more abundant soap bubbles to be generated therefrom, thereby assuring more pleasant bathing.

Technical Field
The present invention relates to a corrugated bath t owel cloth and a bath towel made of the same.
More specifically, the present invention intends to p rovide a corrugated bath towel cloth, which is fabricated b y causing a plain cloth to be continuously corrugated to ha ve a plurality of crimps having an unspecified size thereon, and then sewing the corrugated cloth to prevent the crimps from being flattened, and to provide a band type or a mitt en type bath towel which is made of the above-fabricated ba th towel cloth.
Background Art
A conventional bath towel, which is typically used in a bath, is fabricated of plain cloth that is woven together with elastic threads or elastic bands. Such a bath towel n ormally has crimps formed on its surface by shrinkage of th e elastic threads or bands, which have been woven in extend ed condition. However, when a user washes himself or herse If using a band type bath towel or the like fabricated in t he above-described way, the user rubs his or her back with the bath towel while grasping the opposite ends of the bath towel. At this point, since the shrunken elastic threads o r bands are stretched and thus the bath towel is flattened, the crimps formed on the bath towel disappear. Hence, the bath towel cannot serve to effectively rub the his or her b ack. Particularly, since the crimps on the bath towel and thus the air pockets in the crimps disappear, a large amoun t of soap bubbles cannot be generated, thereby preventing e fficient washing from being achieved.
Disclosure of the Invention
Accordingly, the present invention has been made kee ping in mind the above problems occurring in the prior ar t, and the present invention intends to provide a corrugat ed bath towel cloth and a bath towel made of the same.
An object of the present invention is to provide a co rrugated bath towel cloth, which is fabricated by causing a plain cloth to be continuously corrugated and then sewing the corrugated cloth to have a plurality of crimps having a unspecified size and width thereon, and to provide a bath towel which is made of the above-fabricated bath towel clot h. Another object of the present invention is to provid e a corrugated bath towel which is continuously corrugated to form a plurality of crimps and then sewn to prevent the crimps from being flattened, and which is adapted to preser ve a large amount of air space therein. Still another object of the present invention is to p rovide a bath towel fabricated of corrugated bath towel clo th which is adapted to prevent crimps formed thereon from b eing flattened and to contain a large amount of space there in so as to obtain efficient washing and generation of a nu ber of soap bubbles. A further object of the present invention is to provi de a bath towel which is provided at its rear face with a se parate woven fabric with a cotton containing jade powder be ing disposed therebetween so as to keep a user' s health and to prevent the growth of mold. A further object of the present invention is to provi de a bath towel which is longitudinally elongated, and whic h is provided at both side edges with elastic bands sewn th ereto and at its end with a rubber ring, so that the elonga ted bath towel can be rolled by the resilience of the elast ic bands to be compact.
The above and other objects can be accomplished by pr oviding a corrugated bath towel cloth including a corrugate d section composed of a plurality of crimps, which are form ed by continuously folding a plain bath towel cloth into ce rtain size and width and by providing stitch lines thereon so as not to be flattened.
Also, the above and other objects can be accomplished by providing a corrugated bath towel comprising: a corruga ted bath towel cloth having a corrugated section composed o f a plurality of crimps, which are formed by continuously f olding a plain bath towel cloth into irregular and by provi ding stitch lines thereon so as not to be flattened; a peri phery strip attached to a periphery edge of the bath towel cloth; and straps attached to the opposite ends of the bath towel cloth, and a mitten type corrugated bath towel which is fabricated by cutting a corrugated bath towel cloth int o a mitten shape and sewing the cut cloth, in which the cor rugated bath towel cloth has a corrugated section composed of a plurality of crimps, which are formed by continuously folding a plain bath towel cloth into irregular sizes and w idths and by providing stitch lines thereon so as not to be flattened.

Best Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
The above and other objects, features and other advantages of the present invention will be more clearly understood from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
Figs. 1 to 6 show several embodiments of a corrugated bath towel cloth and a bath towel fabricated by the same a ccording to the present invention in which Fig. 1 is a pers pective view showing a corrugated bath towel cloth 1, Fig.
2 is an enlarged view of a substantial part, and Figs 3a to
6 show bath towels 10, 10-1, 10-2 and 10-3 fabricated by th e corrugated bath towel cloth 1.
As shown in Figs. 1 and 2, a bath towel cloth accordi ng to the present invention is fabricated in such a way tha t towel cloth material is repeatedly folded into a zigzag c onfiguration and then sewn by a usual sewing machine (not s hown) to form corrugated sections 3 each of which is compos ed of successive crimps 2 disposed in a row. Particularly, the cloth material is folded such that successive crimps 2 are spaced apart at intervals of 3 - A c m, and then sewn to form the corrugated sections 3 by stitc h lines 4. At this point, it is to be noted that when adjac ent corrugated sections 3 are sequentially formed, the crim ps 2 of the adjacent corrugated sections 3 are folded in op posite directions to each other. In other words, as shown in Fig. 2, a corrugated section 3 is formed to have a serie s of leftward crimps 2-1 while a corrugated section 3 adjac ent the previously formed corrugated section 3 is formed to have a series of rightward crimps 2-2, so that laterally a djacent crimps 2 are configured into zigzag shapes. Furthermore, although corrugated sections 3 having cr imps 2 which are regularly folded are illustrated in the dr awings, a corrugated bath towel cloth according to the pres ent invention may be fabricated such that the bath towel cl oth have a plurality of crimps which are formed into irregu lar shapes. It will be appreciated that such corrugated ba th towel cloth having the irregular crimps falls within the spirit and scope of the invention.
Processes of fabricating corrugated bath towels 10, 1 0-1, 10-2 and 10-3 from the corrugated bath towel cloth 1 w ill now be described with reference to Figs. 3a to 6.
A corrugated bath towel 10 shown in Fig. 3a serves as a bath towel for rubbing a user's back. In a fabricating p rocess of the bath towel, the above-described corrugated ba th towel cloth 1 is cut into a sheet having predetermined 1 ength and width, and folded in two folds. The folded corru gated bath towel cloth is provided along its periphery edge with a periphery strip 11 sewn thereto, so that upper and lower sheets of the folded bath towel cloth cannot be detac hed from each other. The folded bath towel cloth is also p rovided at its opposite ends with straps 12.
As shown in Fig. 3b, the corrugated bath towel 10 may include a laminated sheet composed of a cotton sheet 5 sue h as a PP cotton sheet and a rear fabric 4 such as a woven f abric and a towel cloth for rubbing off dirt from a user' s skin. The cotton sheet 5 contains jade powder therein, so that far infrared rays radiated from the jade powder can se rve to contribute to user' s health enhancement during bathi ng and to prevention of mold growth.
Referring to Fig. 4, there is shown a full mitten typ e bath towel 10-1 which is fabricated in such a way that th e corrugated bath towel cloth 1 is cut into a predetermined sized sheet and then sewn by a sewing machine (not shown) . Referring to Figs. 5a and 5b, there is shown a palm m itten type bath towel 10-2 which is composed of the corruga ted bath towel cloth 1 of the present invention (a front fa ce ) and a usual bath towel 6 for rubbing dirt from a user's skin (a rear face) and which is sewn by stitch lines 7 in d iaper (diamond) patterns, so that a user can selectively us e any side of the corrugated bath towel cloth 1 and the rub bing towel 6. The palm mitten type bath towel 10-2 may inc lude at its inner surface the laminated sheet of the cotton sheet 5 containing jade powder and a rear fabric 4 as show n in Fig. 3b, if required.
Referring to Fig. 6, there is shown a band type bath towel 10-3 fabricated in such a way that the corrugated bat h towel cloth 1 is provided at both its side edges with ela stic bands 8 in a stretched (tensioned) condition by a sewi ng operation and at its end with a rubber ring 9, so that th e corrugated bath towel cloth 1 is normally maintained in a shrunken condition. When the corrugated bath towel cloth 1 is stretched by user's both hands gripping its opposite e nds, the corrugated bath towel cloth 1 is extended as the e lastic bands 8 are stretched but the bath towel cloth 1 can be extended only to the range determined by the stitch lin es 4 sewn on the towel cloth. After use of the band type bath towel, the corrugated bath towel cloth 1 is rolled into a roll form and then band aged by the rubber ring 9 so as not to be loosened.
In uses of the above-described bath towels 10, 10-1, 10-2 and 10-3, the bath towel 10 and 10-3 are mainly used a s bath towels for rubbing user's back. At this point, the bath towel 1 is first soaped and then gripped at its opposi te straps 12 by a user's hands. Subsequently, the bath tow el 1 comes into close contact with a user' s back skin surfa ce and then serves to rub the back skin surface. Meanwhile, the mitten type bath towels 10-1 and 10-2 generally serve to wash a user's overall skin surface in a condition contai ning soapy water therein.
As described above, since the crimps 2 of the corruga ted sections 3 cannot be flattened by means of the stitch 1 ines 4 when the corrugated bath towel cloth 1 is soaped, a large amount of air space is reserved in the corrugated bat h towel cloth 1 which serves to receive soapy water. Accor dingly, the corrugated bath towel cloth 1 can generate a la rge number of soap bubbles, thereby enabling washing to be efficient.
