Abstract

The invention relates to a method for determining at least one welding parameter for optical waveguide welding and to a method and a welding device for optical waveguide welding. According to said method, during waveguide welding, light (18) is emitted by the weld (26). The intensity value of the light (18) propagating within the optical waveguide (12, 14) is measured during welding and the welding parameter is derived from the measured intensity value as compared with a desired intensity value.
