Abstract

The invention concerns a scale model of current mechanical linkage(s) consisting of at least two parts (1a, 2a) in contact. The first part (1a) is connected to a drive handle (4) held by a first learner, and the second part (2a) is connected to a receiving handle (5) held by a second learner. Said handles have preferably a spherical grip surface (5b), whereon are provided means causing a tactile sensation along three orthogonal spatial directions. Said model enables to visualise the degrees of freedom between two solids in contact and to determine, on the basis of the tactile sensation felt in the hand, the presence or absence of each component of the reduction elements R and M of the torque associated with the mechanical actions transmissible by the linkage, in one specific reduction point, in a local base (x, y, z) physically represented by means (39, 40, 41).
