Abstract

Liquid make-up is a cosmetic product for make-up and the decoration of the face with a multi-functional use. Organoieptically it appears liquid, coloured and semi-transparent. On application it is filmy, soft, sheer and supple. Once the product has been applied it is smudge-proof, water-resistant, non-toxic and does not block pores. It is easy to use, it dries quickly, is easily removed and can be touched up. The product's formula consists of the following components: a) polymeric complex that forms an impalpable and water-resistant film; b) a mix of short chain esters with plasticizing action; c) water-soluble pigments; d) scent; e) antifungal and antibacterial preservatives; f) water; g) various additives.

DESCRIPTION: "LIQUID MAKE-UP"

The objective of this invention is the industrial manufacturing of a product for the decoration of the face in a liquid form, capable of forming a coloured film (liquid make-up), to be used instead of the cosmetic products currently on the market.

Contrary to common make-up products, in the cosmetic forms of compact and non-compact powders, sticks and creams, this product (as suggested by its name) is in liquid form, exclusively using water as its base.

From an organoleptic perspective, this product is an intensely coloured emulsion, with a slightly opalescent appearance and a low level of viscosity.

The product can be applied with the use of a small brush, a soft nib or alternatively, using a roll-on application system. Whatever method of application is used, the products glides on easily and allows the user to make distinct and precise lines. The time needed for the product to dry appears to be fairly short, approximately thirty seconds. Moreover, the product provides a coloured film on the skin that has the following characteristics:

A. The colour does not rub off traces of colour on: other people's skin, cigarettes, crockery, food etc.

B. The film is impermeable to salt water and sweet water

C. It adheres perfectly

D. The make-up can be touched up without having to remove the previous layer

E. The film does not melt or streak even when skin temperature is elevated

F. The coloured film can be easily removed by rubbing the skin with a cotton wool ball soaked in make-up remover or baby wipes.

G. The various shades can be mixed to achieve customised colours.

H. The make-up is non-toxic (at the present stage it has been verified that prolonged use of the product does not cause irritation or allergies in any way) I. It has complete chemical and chemical-physical stability J. It has complete microbiological stability, allowing the product to be stored indefinitely K. The product has a water base and uses components that are entirely or partially water-soluble. In particular its formula contains:

A. A polymeric complex of a water-soluble acrylic kind, which produces a soft, sheer and supple film;

B. A special mixture of short chain esters that act as plasticizing agents and make the film, formed by a water-soluble acrylic polymeric complex, rigid to the point that it keeps the colour molecules at the surface level so that they cannot be absorbed by the epidermis or transferred to objects such as glasses, cigarettes, coffee cups etc.;

C. A mix of four special water-soluble pigments, all permitted for use in cosmetics by the main international regulations (EEC, FDA and JCIC)

D. An ingredient with an emollient consisting of a hydrolyzed protein extracted from almond protein

E. A scent

F. Glycolic aloe extract

Claims

1) Process of the industrial manufacture of a cosmetic product in a liquid form with a water base, free of organic solvents, containing water-soluble pigments, able to form a film on the skin. In particular the film formed by the product has the following characteristics: a) adhesive, b) flexible, c) long- lasting, d) water-resistant, e) non-toxic, f) chemical and microbiological stable, g) smudge-proof, h) quick-drying, i) does not crack during chewing movements, j) easily removable.

The product's formula consists of the following components:

a) polymeric complex that forms an impalpable and water-resistant film b) a mix of short chain esters with plasticizing action c) water-soluble pigments d) scent e) anti-fungal and anti-bacterial preservatives f) water g) various additives
