Abstract

The spout is designed to be screwed on silicon and/or adhesive cartridges. It can be screwed onto the cartridge by its lower (inner) thread, while its upper (outer) thread allows the two interchangeable nozzles to be connected to the spout. The type 'A' nozzle will be screwed onto the spout in order to apply the right amount of paste. It also serves a closing plug after the job is completed. The type 'B' nozzle, besides having the same features of type 'A', allows the application of the paste to spots hardly reachable by a common stiff spout. The common stiff spouts now on the market are also equipped with a plug, but the main aim is to always have the possibility of delivering the required amount of product by appropriate slantways cuts of the nozzle tip. Thanks to the easy and fast replacement of the nozzle, the waste of the product contained in the spout is avoided. Furthermore, the job can be accomplished with undeteriorated material, being this the best sealer available.

DESCRIPTION
Spout with interchangeable nozzles (type "A" and "B") for silicon and adhesive cartridges.
The primary feature of the spout is the upper end. which is tapered a s hollow frustum of cone. Both ends of the spout are threaded. The lower end thread allows the spout to be connected onto silicon cartridges or similar. The upper end thread allows the connection of the two nozzles (type "A" and "B"), both used for delivering the product as well as a closure of the cartridge. The type "A" nozzle is screwed onto the spout in order to deliver the right amount of product and also, on completion of the job. to work as a plug. On resuming the sealing, it is enough to replace the nozzle in which the paste has dried up. thus obtaining a dual advantage: save a considerable amount of product and use a new nozzle, cut to the required section. The type "B" nozzle, besides having the same features of the former, can deliver the paste in areas where a common stiff spout would hardly reach. In fact, due to the bellows in the central part of the nozzle, it is possible to bend and point the tip towards the spot to be sealed.
At present, silicon cartridges and similar are equipped with one single spout, which in some cases is also provided with a closing plug. Once cut the spout tip to the desired section for the delivering of the product, it will be possible to van' this section only by enlarging it.
On resuming the sealing operation after the previous one. even if after only few- hours, the product will have dried up and there will be no possibilit of reducing the delivering section if needed.
Thanks to the easy and fast replacement of the nozzle, it is possible to avoid the waste of the product left in the spout and work with undeteriorated material which is the best available sealer.
The aim to reach is a wider availability on the market for special parts designed to improve and speed up all operations related to sealing and gluing.

*__ The spout is made of plastic material. The upper end is tapered in a hollow- frustum of cone. Both ends of the spout are threaded. The lower female (inner) thread allows the spout to be screwed onto silicon end/or similar cartridges. The upper male (outer) thread allows the intercangeable nozzle, type "A" or "B", to be connected to the spout.
Type "A" nozzle (FIG.2)
The type "A" nozzle is made of plastic material, shaped as a hollow cone. Its lower end features a female (inner) thread for connection to the spout. The upper end is provided with a hole for delivering the paste.
Type "B" nozzle (FIG.3)
) The type "B" nozzle is made of plastic material, shaped as a hollow cone. Its lower end features a female (inner) thread for connection to the spout. The upper end is provided with a hole for delivering the paste. The central part of the nozzle is shaped as a bellows which allows bending of the nozzle tip.
