Abstract

The sucked in debris are directly passed through water located below the directing disc (8) at the bottom of the vacuum cleaner, via the suction pipe (5). At the same time all dust is retained in water. If the vacuum cleaner is operated in idle mode for a long time, it can also be used for the purpose of cleaning the air. The directing disc (8) has a structure with a small projection at its lower side and is placed at a certain angle with the horizontal. The narrow nozzle located at the top of the directing disc (8) is connected to the suction pipe (5) whereas the larger nozzle at its bottom is placed at a certain distance to the water used for filtering purposes. Vacuum produced by the motor (1) passes through the water and the suction pipe (5); the substances sucked in by means of the vacuum by the suction nozzle, pass through the suction pipe (5) and are retained in water wherein they are filtered.

VACUUM CLEANER WITH LIQUID FILTER
The present invention is related to a vacuum cleaner that filters the suckcd- in dust and dirt, by using water, to clean the ground and the air.
The electrical vacuum cleaners as domestic appliances, are the devices that serve to collect all undesired wet and dry substances in the environment in a tank after filtering them. There are dry-type, dry-and wet-type, and washing-type vacuum cleaners, with regard to their functions.
The dry-type vacuum cleaners can be used only to collect dry and solid substances at any position, and they cannot be used in wet conditions due to their motor structure. They are manufactured in cylindrical or other forms. The debris sucked-in via the suction nozzle of the drum are discharged after being filtered through the lateral louvers, in the drum-type vacuum cleaners.
The fan, placed above the motor, cools the motor windings. The motor is designed in such a manner that it operates in the dry-mode, although it has a bypass structure.
In wet and dry electrical vacuum cleaners, a by-pass motor manufactured specially to provide the separation of the vacuum air and the air cooling the motor windings, is used.
The wet and dry vacuum cleaners are made with a structure that can collect both dry and wet substances, In by-pass motors, the motor windings are cooled by a separate fan. When the amount of the liquid sucked in, reaches to a predetermined level, a special float prevents water from overflowing into the motor section. They are operated in a vertical position.
In washing-type vacuum cleaners, although their principle of operation is like that of the wet and dry type vacuum cleaners, they are provided with a pump and a clean-water section.
For washing the carpets and similar objects, water is put into the clean water tank, the paper bag in which dry debris are collected is removed from the section where wet and dry debris are collected, and washing is performed by sprinkling clean water by pressing the 'wash' button on the control panel.
In the known embodiments of the technique, either the motor power is reduced or bags, discs to prevent turbulence are incorporated to the system, in order to avoid air and water turbulence.
In another embodiment of the technique, dust collection is provided by thrusting the debris only on the surface of the water.
The object of the present invention is to realize a vacuum cleaner with liquid filter that provides the preservation of the debris in the water, by filtering the sucked in substances via water for ground and air cleaning, without any requirements for filters of paper or textile material.
The vacuum cleaner with liquid filter realized in order to attain the object of the present invention is illustrated in the attached drawings; wherein :
Figure 1, is the lateral section view of the vacuum cleaner. Figure 2, is the lateral section view of the vacuum cleaner while operating. Figure 3, is the view of the directing disc. The components shown on the drawings have been numerated as follows
1. Motor
2. Filter
3. Lower part of the body 4. Middle part of the body
5. Suction pipe
6. Funnel
7. Air directing disc
8. Directing disc 9. Drum
As the motor (1 ) operates at a high value such as 1000 W, there is a considerable air and water turbulence during suction. The sucked-in debris are directly passed through water, being present below the directing disc (8) at the bottom of the vacuum cleaner, via the suction pipe (8) At the same time all dust is retained in water. If the vacuum cleaner is operated in idle mode for a long time, it can also be used for the purpose of cleaning the air.
The directing disc (8) has a structure with a small projection at its lower side and is placed at a certain angle with the horizontal plane. The narrow nozzle located at the top of the directing disc (8) is connected to the suction pipe (5) whereas the larger nozzle at its bottom is placed at a certain distance to the water used for filtering purposes.
Vacuum produced by the motor (1) passes through the water and the suction pipe (5); the substances sucked in by means of the vacuum by the suction nozzle, pass through the suction pipe (5) and retained in water wherein they are filtered. The directing disc (8) blocks the water clusters broken by vacuum and causes them to be dropped down again and prevent water from leaking into the motor (19 section. Substances such as microparticlcs that may escape from the water are discharged upon being filtered by a funnel (6) fixed in a water proof manner, at the bottom of which is placed sponge and hygienic filter. The funnel (6) is used to direct the water and air. It prevents water from being discharged into the motor (1 ) section even if the cleaner body falls down or is tilted. Water remains between the drum (9) and the funnel (6), the funnel (6) being fixed in a water-tight manner.
Upon completion of the cleaning operation, the upper head assembly of the cleaner is separated from the drum (9).
The suction pipe (5) and directing disc (8) are clutched slidably and after these parts are removed, dirty water and debris are disharged.
Due to this type of cleaning, unwanted substances and air-borne dust particles are retained in water, thus avoiding their return into the ambient air.
