Abstract

A method and system that allows users to select certain portions of more than one web page for later viewing. The user selects certain portions of the web pages that he wishes to view at a later time. The user's selection information is saved and, when the user views the web page at a later time, only the portions of the web page indicated by the user are displayed for viewing by the user. Thus, the user views only preselected portions of the web pages. These web pages can be combined into combination web pages, based on more than one web page or site. A combination web page also can be created directly from more than one page or site without first creating an intermediate shortpage.
