Abstract

A sliding device for cloth stripes with bows for hanging up pelmet curtains and similar, consisting of a structure, preferably out of plastic material, with a concave portion of cylindric surface so as to fit to the corresponding shape of the support (B), and provided with one single upper eyelet (2) through which the ends of each couple of cloth stripes (F) are inserted, crossed and tied between each other so as to realize an upper bow (FO) and to completely eliminate the contact between the cloth of said cloth stripes and the material of the support, thus facilitating the lateral sliding of the curtain.

Description

"A SLIDING DEVICE FOR CLOTH STRIPES WITH BOWS, FOR HANGING UP PELMET CURTAINS AND SIMILAR"
The present invention concerns a sliding device for cloth stripes with bows, for hanging up pelmet curtains and similar.
It is well known that metal, plastic or wooden rings for hanging up and supporting pelmet curtains are expensive in production and distribution.
For lowering said costs, once said rings have been replaced from cloth structures having the same function, and for making the personalized realization of curtains by the users easier, means for tying the curtains to the support have been recently realized, each consisting of two laces or cloth stripes sewn to the upper edge of the curtains and that may be fastened above said support, possibly with aesthetic end bows.
It appears to be evident that above described cloth stripes with the relative bows are of difficult operativeness, because the friction does not allow an easy sliding along the support, and for this reason said means have had a reduced diffusion up to now.
It is the aim of the present invention to realize a specific device to be inserted between said cloth stripes and said support, con- sisting of an anti-friction structure and material so as to allow an easy moving of the curtains.
The aim set forth is reached by means of the device according to the present invention, consisting of a structure, preferably out of plastic material, with a concave portion of cylindric surface so as to fit to the corresponding shape of the support, and provided with one single upper eyelet through which the ends of each couple of cloth stripes are inserted, crossed and tied between each other to as to realize an upper bow and to completely eliminate the contact between the cloth of said cloth stripes and the material of the suppport, thus facilitating the lateral sliding of the curtain.
The advantages of the device according to the present invention are many and relevant:
- inexpensiveness, due to the low cost of the device, being produced in series and due to the possibility of commercially developping the cloth stripes with a bow, which are very suited for the "do-it-yourself";
- easy and immediate application, installation and replacing for washing the curtains and similar;
- aesthetics, because the device according to the present invention is invisible to an outsider, as it is hidden by the cloth stripes and by the bows. The present invention will be described hereinbelow relating to the enclosed drawings in which one embodiment is shown.
Figure 1 shows an axonometric view of a sliding device according to the present invention for cloth stripes with a bow, for the support of pelmet curtains and similar.
Figures 2, 3, 4, 5 show the sequence of the installation of the device accordig to the present invention.
Figures 6 and 7 show an axonometric view of a variant of the device according to the present invention and the functionality thereof.
Figures 8 and 9 show an axonometric view of a further complete ring-variant and the installation thereof.
The enclosed figures show a sliding device for cloth stripes with bows, for the fastening of pelmet curtains and similar, consisting mainly of a structure 1, with a concave portion of cylindric surface, shaped in such a way as to be applied to a support B, comprising:
- an eyelet 2, transversal to said structure 1 and linked in its upper central portion, for inserting the end parts of the overlapping cloth stripes F and tied up in a knot so as to comprise the eyelet itself, with a terminal bow FO; - two edges 3, slightly bent outwards along said structure 1 so as to form a housing guide on the two sides of said cloth stripes F which, due to the gravitational effect determined by the curtain T, will not come out during the low friction slidings determined by the contact between the lower surface of said structure 1 and said support B;
- a possible continuity solution 4, provided in said structure 1 below said eyelet 2, for facilitating the series realization of the device according to the present invention.
For improving the functioning safety, in those cases in which said edges 3 appear to be insufficient to the guide of said cloth stripes F due to gravity, the device according to the present invention provides, according to the variant shown in figures 6 and 7, two terminal slits 5 performed in the end transversal small edge 6, through which said cloth stripes F are forced to pass during installation, thus preventing any unstringing.
In the variant of the device according to the present invention shown in figures 8 and 9, the realization is provided of a complete ring 1', instead of the cylindric surface portion 1, to be inserted around said support B, and provided with edges 3 so as to guide said cloth stripes F which are directly tied so as to form the upper small bow FO.

Claims
