Abstract

The invention concerns the field of portable phones, more particularly a device for determining and/or recording data. The inventive device enables to eliminate digital keys running from 0 through 9 for recording data and alphabetical keys running from A through Z; said keys at least nine in number are replaced in the invention by one key (B1) enabling to acquire digital or alphabetical data (in whatever alphabet). Said device enables the user to use the apparatus naturally with one hand thereby eliminating the space problems which said keys may present. Said device also enables to introduce novel designs and above all to increase display screen size.
