Abstract

A system for verification and authorisation comprises a repository of insurance data relating to insurance contracts between any one of a number of insurers and any one of a number of insured parties, a communication network between the repository and the plurality of providers, and an enquiry facility for accessing the data in the repository and for generating response data in reply to a verification or an authentication request received along the communication network.
