Abstract

The invention relates to an ISDN-network comprising switching centres (LVSR, LVSL). Data-carrying terminals (EGER, EGEL) are linked to said switching centres, e.g. in form of computers having ISDN-cards, whereby said switching centres comprise a switching network (KNE) and a coordination processor (COP) with user programmes (UPR) and whereby the network is configured in such a way that data exchange between the data-carrying terminals and the coordination processor in the user programmes is possible. According to the invention, a hardware-platform (HWP) is allocated to at least one switching centre. A definite telephone number is assigned to said hardware-platform anywhere in the network and a direct bus link (BUV) is located between said hardware-platform and said coordination processor, whereby data exchange between the terminals is carried out by the platform via B-channels.
