Abstract

The invention relates to a method and an arrangement in a fibre coating line comprising a fibre pay-off apparatus (1), from which the fibres are arranged to be delivered to a press section (2) for forming a coating around the fibres, a cooling means (3) for cooling the conductor formed by the coating and the fibres, a pulling device (4) with which the conductor formed by the coating and the fibres is pulled forward from the press section (2), and means for guiding the conductor to the next process stage after the cooling. The pulling device (4) is arranged to move in the motion direction of the fibres. To achieve a solution which can easily be adjusted according to conditions, the pulling device (4) used is a pulling device comprising at least two wheels which are installed with bearings on horizontal axles and arranged sequentially in the motion direction of the fibres. The wheels of the pulling device are arranged in a closed space whose temperature is adjusted in a required manner and the location of the pulling device (4) is defined on the basis of the production speed.
