Abstract

The invention relates to a network and a coupling device for connecting two segments of such a network. Said device comprises means (63, 64, 73, 78) designed to recognize modifications of a message caused by disruptions in a segment (16) and to block the onward transmission of messages received in a disturbed segment (16) to another segment (17). This method prevents disturbances in one segment from spreading throughout the network. The invention is used in repeaters.
