Abstract

The invention concerns an advertising display for static or moving advertising billboards comprising poster strips (A) each glued on a semirigid plastic foil with shape memory (F) having flaps co-operating with a bar (L) which is capable of being elastically deformed and which has been previously fitted on the advertising billboard support (P) for maintaining said poster strip (A).

ADVERTISING

The present invention relates to the production of an advertising poster made up of poster strips which are intended to be placed on static advertising panels or with rotating prisms and to its display device for the installation of said strips of poster. The advertising panels receiving this kind of poster, comprise a plurality of rotating prisms arranged side by side and rotating by a fraction of a self-turn of their longitudinal axis by means of a driving device dec for example, in the European patent n ° 0539308 belonging to the applicant.

The rotating prisms receive on each of their faces a display strip constituting respectively a separate poster which is presented during rotation of the prisms.

Advertising panels of this kind generally have triangular prisms which allow three posters to be displayed successively.

To date, the display of advertising panels with rotating prisms is carried out according to four different methods.

The first display method requires that the faces of the aluminum prisms be removable. The faces of each prism are dismantled and taken to a workshop to be able to replace the poster strips.

After cleaning the faces, the latter are mounted on a template in order to display a new poster using glue, according to the usual techniques of static advertising panels.

Then, after the various drying operations, cutting of the strips, dismantling of the faces of the template, it is necessary to transport the said faces and reassemble them on the advertising panel.

We see that all these steps are much too long and painful to meet the needs of the profession. The other three methods relate to the installation of poster strips on the if that is to say, directly on the advertising panel.

The method described in patent invention EP 0644520 uses transparent plastics which are fixed on each side of the rotary prism in order to constitute a protective envelope into which the poster banner is inserted.

This plastic case has certain drawbacks as regards, firstly, the fact that it alters the advertising message because of the opacity or light reflections, and secondly the fact that the poster strip slides at inside the case which makes it impossible to read the advertisement.

The process described in patent FR 2643487 uses an electric portable device which simultaneously removes the old poster strip to stick the new one.

This device requires special training for displays, and also an adaptation of advertising panels.

The last method is described in the invention patent FR 2740597. It uses manual installation tool for the removal and the positioning of the poster strips on each of the faces of the rotating prisms of an advertising panel.

Each face of the rotating prisms has a central groove which allows it to snap and slide a plate which ensures the positioning of the poster strip at the inaccessible or furthest end of the prism.

In the last two methods described above, the poster strips receive on the face opposite to that carrying the advertising message a double fa adhesive allowing the fixing of the latter on the rotating prisms.

The use of a double-sided adhesive for fixing the display strips has certain drawbacks as regards, on the one hand, the deterioration of the adhesive due to meteorological variations, and on the other hand the prior treatment of the surfaces of each prism.

In addition, it can be seen that the poster strip provided with its adhesive is permanently damaged when it is removed from the rotating prism, which prevents any reuse on another advertising panel.

The poster strip and its positioning device according to the invention aim to remedy the above drawbacks of the prior art.

The poster strip and its positioning device have the following advantages: • mechanical fixing without using glue on the panel, allowing reuse of poster strips on another advertising panel,

• perfect centering of the poster strips on the prisms,

• the absence of folds or detachment, “a very short display time in all seasons,

• simple and rapid training of individuals using the installation device,

• lightness of the installation device and reduced maintenance,

• significant savings on so-called "consumable" items.

The advertising poster for static or rotary advertising billboards according to the invention comprises poster strips which are each glued on a semi-rigid plastic film tape with shape memory having flaps which extend in an opposite direction to the one containing the printed side of the poster strip.

The advertising poster for static or rotating premium advertising panels according to the invention comprises poster strips which are each glued to a semi-rigid plastic film tape with shape memory having flaps which cooperate with a deforming slat. elastically and which is previously snapped onto the support of the advertising panel for retaining said poster strip.

The advertising poster for static advertising panels or rotary premium advertising according to the invention comprises a slat which has a length which is substantially equivalent to that of the support of the advertising panel

The advertising poster for static advertising panels or rotary bonuses according to the invention comprises a plastic film tape provided over its entire length with continuous flaps.

The installation device for setting up and retaining the advertising poster according to the invention comprises:

• two symmetrical shoes which raise the edges of the plastic slat, • a rubberized roller and pressure rollers allowing the engagement of the poster strip secured to the plastic tape,

• a guide plate which opens the two flaps of the plastic film tape, then releases them at the level of the shoes,

• two shouldered rollers which support and refocus the poster strip (A) on the plastic slat,

• a support roller which ensures the correct inclination of the hooves under the batten,

• and joints for coupling the means of movement of the laying device along the batten.

The installation device for the installation and retention of the advertising poster according to the invention comprises displacement means which are constituted a pole whose end is articulated around an axis placed between the rollers to allow manual movement of the laying device.

The installation device for setting up and retaining the advertising poster according to the invention comprises displacement means which consist of an electrically-driven motorized carriage coupled to the ball joint disposed above the pressure rollers.

The description which follows with reference to the appended drawings, given by way of nonlimiting example, will make it possible to better understand the invention, the characteristics which it presents and the advantages which it is capable of providing:

Figure 1 is a cross section illustrating a triangular prism of an advertising panel whose three faces are equipped with a slat intended to receive a poster strip of the advertising poster according to the present invention.

Figure 2 is a cross section showing a slat deformed by the laying device for the establishment of the flaps of the plastic film secured to the poster strip forming the advertising poster according to the present invention.

Figure 3 is a longitudinal section showing the installation device for the installation of poster strips on the advertising panel to produce the advertising poster according to the present invention.

FIGS. 1 and 2 show, by way of example, a rotary prism P of triangular shape which is associated with other prisms of the same shape to constitute an advertising panel which can present three different advertising posters.

The rotary prism P has on each of its faces a central groove R which is designed to receive the self-locking attachment means S of a slat L made of a flexible and elastic plastic material.

The middle groove R has, in a nonlimiting manner, a profile complementary to that of the attachment means S, to perfectly ensure the fixing of the slat L on the corresponding face of the rotary prism P.

The hooking means S allow the latching of the slat L over the entire height of the corresponding face of the rotary prism P. In fact, the slat L is provided with a height substantially equivalent to that of the support or of the prism of the panel advertising.

One can also provide that the slats L have a width which is of dimension greater than that shown in Figures 1 and 2, to snap onto the support of a static advertising panel having a single advertising poster. The advertising poster is made up of poster strips A, one side of which is printed with a portion of the advertising message. Each poster strip A is glued over its entire height, on a semi-rigid plastic film tape with shape memory F.

The plastic film ribbon F has folded edges forming two continuous flaps which are provided over the entire length of the poster strip A.

The flaps of the plastic film ribbon F extend in a direction which is opposite to that containing the printed side of the poster strip A.

The plastic film ribbon F is, not necessarily, made of a plastic material with a translucent shape memory.

Thus, each poster strip A integral with the plastic film ribbon F is fixed on the support of a static advertising panel or with rotating prisms P to produce the advertising poster.

There is shown in Figure 3 the installation device for, for example, the fixing of the poster strips A secured to the plastic film tape F on the face of the rotary prism P on which is latched the slat L.

The laying device comprises a main body on which are mounted free in rotation in its lower part two shouldered rollers 6, and in its upper part, a support roller 7 which ensures the inclination of the laying device when it is placed on the face of the rotating prism P.

The main body is integral, between the rollers 6 and 7, with two symmetrical shoes 3 which are engaged under the edges of the slat L, in order to lift them.

The main body has in its upper part and above the roller 7 a rubberized roller 9 and pressure rollers 5 allowing the engagement of the poster strip A secured to the plastic film ribbon F.

The main body of the laying device comprises, near the roller 9, and on the side of the roller 7, a guide plate 4 which ends at the level of the shoes 3.

Finally, the installation device can be moved over the entire height of the advertising panel, either manually by means of a pole 1 which is articulated around an axis 2 mounted between the rollers 6 and 7, or in a motorized manner by means of 'A carriage, not shown, which is hitched to the ball joint 8 arranged above the rubberized roller 9.

The placement and retention of the poster strip A secured to the film ribbon F on the rotating prism of a rotating advertising panel, or on the support of a static advertising panel by means of the installation device, is understandable easily from the description above. The laying device is placed, for example, in the lower part of a rotary prism P so that, on the one hand the rollers 6 and 7 are in abutment against the flexible batten L, and on the other by the shoes 3 are engaged under the edges of the flexible batten L to deform the latter between the rollers 6 and 7.

A poster strip A integral with the film ribbon F is introduced between the rubberized roller 9 and the pressure rollers 5, until it is aligned with the lower end of the slat L situated in the lower part of the prism P.

During the positioning of the poster strip A secured to the film ribbon F on the laying device, it can be seen that the guide plate 4 makes it possible to open the flaps of the plastic film ribbon F above the edges of the batten L which are lifted by the hooves 3.

The flaps of the plastic film ribbon F close under the edges of the batten L at the level of the interruption of the guide plate 4 which is located near the shoes 3.

Note that the flaps close automatically under the edges of the slats L due to the shape memory characteristics of the film ribbon F.

The displacement of the laying device over the entire height of the rotary prism P allows the positioning and retention of the poster strip A secured to the film ribbon F on the latter. Note that the slat L is lowered after the passage of the laying device to pinch and lock the flaps of the film ribbon F between said slat and the face of the prism.

In conclusion, the installation device for the installation and retention of the advertising poster comprises:

• two symmetrical shoes (3) which lift the edges of the plastic slat (L);

• a rubberized roller (9) and pressure rollers (5) allowing the engagement of the poster strip (A) secured to the plastic tape (F);

• a guide plate (4) which opens the two flaps of the plastic film ribbon (F), then releases them at the level of the shoes (3);

• two shouldered rollers (6) which support and refocus the poster strip (A) on the plastic slat (L);

• a support roller (7) which ensures the correct inclination of the shoes (3) under the batten

(L); • and joints (2) and (8) for coupling the means of movement of the laying device along the slat (L).

These steps are to be repeated for each poster strip A integral with the film ribbon F constituting the advertising poster. It should also be understood that the foregoing description has been given only by way of example, and that it in no way limits the field of the invention from which one would not depart by replacing the details of execution described everywhere else equivalent.

Claims

1. Advertising poster for static advertising panels or rotary premium characterized in that it comprises poster strips (A) which are each glued on a semi-rigid plastic film tape memory. form

(F) having flaps which extend in a direction opposite to that containing the printed side of the poster strip (A).

2. Advertising poster for static or rotating premium advertising panels according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises poster strips (A) which are each stuck on a semi-rigid plastic film tape with shape memory ( F) having flaps which cooperate with a strip (L) which deforms elastically and which is previously snapped onto the support (P) of the advertising panel for retaining said poster strip

3. Advertising poster for static advertising panels or rotary premiums according to claim 2, characterized in that the slat (L) has a length which is substantially equivalent to that of the support (P) of the advertising panel.

4. Advertising poster for static advertising signs or rotary premiums according to claim 1, characterized in that the plastic film tape (F) has over its entire length of the continuous flaps.

5. Installation device for placing and retaining the advertising poster according to claim 1, characterized in that it comprises:

• two symmetrical shoes (3) which lift the edges of the plastic slat (L), • a rubberized roller (9) and pressure rollers (5) allowing the engagement of the poster strip (A) integral with the ribbon of plastic film (F),

A guide plate (4) which opens the two flaps of the plastic film ribbon (F), then releases them at the level of the shoes (3),

• two shouldered rollers (6) which support and refocus the poster strip (A) on the plastic slat (L),

• a support roller (7) which ensures the correct inclination of the shoes (3) under the batten (L),

• and joints (2 and 8) for coupling the movement means of the laying device along the batten (L).

Installation device for the establishment and retention of the advertising poster according to claim 5, characterized in that the displacement means consist of a pole (1) whose end is articulated around a axis (2) placed between the rollers (6) and (7) to allow manual movement of the laying device. Installation device for placing and retaining the advertising poster according to claim 5, characterized in that the displacement means consist of a motorized carriage electrically coupled to the ball joint (8) disposed at- above the rubberized roller (9).
