Abstract

Sandwich bearing wall panel for constructing a building, of the type comprising: a pair of structural parallel posts (2) facing each other, and to each of which is attached an inner lining (9) including an outer frame (18) with two pairs of side and upper and lower crossbeams respectively, a pair of inner (22) and outer (23) facing panels overlying the frame (18) on each side thereof, and insulating means (24) intermediate the frame (18) and the pair of facing panels (22, 23). The wall panel of the invention further includes at least one plastic section, providing a lower rail (25) or an upper cap (26), respectively, said section being generally shaped as a right or inverted U or pseudo U, wherein the web (27) of the section is mounted on the lower (21) or upper (20) crossbeam respectively by means of attachment members (30), and the two inner (28) and outer (29) flanges of said section sandwich the inner (22) and outer (23) facing panels respectively. Said section is arranged to be placed intermediate the frame (18) and the facing panels (22, 23), on one side, and the foundations, substructure, support brickwork, or a floor, truss or ceiling on the other side.
