- the brick according to the invention may be constructed from any suitable material by a suitable moulding or pressing process. The following three examples merely demonstrate three possible forms of the brick according to the invention.

- the bricks may be placed thereon and stacked in various layers to form the desired construction. It is preferable in most applications although not essential, that an adhesive barrier is formed along all joints of adjoining bricks and that the plugs 14 be glued into the bricks as this forms a stronger structure.
- adhesive is poured on the ends of adjoining bricks and once a layer of bricks has been placed in end to end relationship to form the first layer of a wall, a layer of adhesive may be poured along the top surface 12 of each brick so as to penetrate the apertures 11 and form a continuous line along the top surface of the bricks.
- the brick according to this invention enables the construction of a load bearing wall without the use of conventional grouting between the various layers of bricks.
- the construction is such that the plugs 14 provide an interconnection between the bricks which is sufficient to provide the necessary structural rigidity.
- the use of an adhesive further enhances the structural rigidity of the finished construction and does not require the services of a skilled tradesman for application.
- the brick is formed as a rectangular block with no projections, it may be easily stacked for storage and transportation purposes.
- the plugs 14 are provided separately and are only inserted into the brick when in use. Since the plugs are formed from the same material as the bricks they have a corresponding strength factor.

Abstract
Une brique utilisée pour la construction (10) se présentant sous forme d'un bloc rectangulaire, comporte des ouvertures cylindriques (11) espacées de manière uniforme dans la surface supérieure (12) et la surface inférieure (13). Des bouchons cylindriques (14) sont prévus pour s'introduire dans les ouvertures de manière à bien s'adapter à l'intérieur et pour former des parties saillantes qui se logent de manière similaire dans les ouvertures d'une brique associée lorsqu'on place deux briques de ce type de manière à ce qu'elles soient aboutées l'une contre l'autre. L'enclenchement réciproque des briques effectué de la sorte constitue un joint solide sans qu'il soit nécessaire d'utiliser des joints de mortier traditionnels entre les briques. On peut appliquer une mince cache d'adhésif pour coller les bouchons (14) dans les briques et assurer une meilleure adhérence entre les briques mises bout à bout.
