La piece a usiner est toujours deplacee ensemble avec le support sur la table et, hors de celle-ci, l'echange d'un support portant une piece a usiner determinee contre un autre support avec une autre piece a usiner, a lieu sur une unite d'echange. Au centre de la table (1), est prevu un dispositif (23) d'echange d'outils, avec l'aide duquel les outils, utilises dans toutes les unites d'usinage, sont pris hors d'un magasin (14) dispose tout autour du dispositif d'echange (23). Un dispositif commun de commande (28, 29) commande les mouvements des unites d'usinage, de l'unite d'echange des supports de pieces a usiner et du dispositif d'echange des outils.
