Abstract
Este invento se refiere al polipéptido, o a un fragmento del mismo, que tiene la capacidad de mejorar la biosíntesis de callosa y/o su acumulación en plantas y otros organismos. Dicho polipéptido es modificado por una mutación seleccionada del grupo, la que consiste en sustitución y eliminación. En el polipétido se presentan al menos un residuo de los aminoácidos de residuos conservados y seleccionados del grupo, consistentes de:: residuos correspondiente a R84 de SEQ ID NO: 1, residuo correspondiente a R1926 o SEQ ID NO: 1 y a los residuos que corresponden a P189 de SEQ ID NO: 1, del polipéptido o un fragmento de éste.
