Abstract

Esta invención se refiere a composiciones tópicas de ácido azelaico y mas especificamente a composiciones que tienen ácido azelaico y glicol estabilizado y completamente solubilizado, que se emplean para tratar una amplia variedad de condiciones para la piel, esta invención provee ácido azelaico a la piel en una forma completamente solubilizada, y sin embargo estable, lo cual asegura una excelente absorción en la piel y reduce significativamente la incidencia de irritación en la piel. Un objeto de la siguiente invención es el de proveer una formulación completamente esatable y solubilizada que contiene ácido azelaico. Otro objeto es el de proveer concentraciones menores y sin embargo eficaces de una formulación tópica de ácido azelaico que probablemente es menos irritante. Esta preparación se usa para tratar una amplia variedad de enfermedades de la piel con poca o ninguna irritación para la piel. La composición tópica que comprende àcido azelaico completamente solubilizado en un glicol, donde éste es estable a temperaturas normales y a presiones atmosféricas convencionales
