PHOTOCONDUCTIVE YLID COMPOUNDS HAVING THE FORMULA:
9-(AR1-Z(+)(-AR2)(-AR3)-),R1,R2-FLUORENE
WHEREIN R1 AND R2 ARE EACH AN ALKYL RADICAL, AN ALKOXY RADICAL, AN ARYL RADICAL, A CYANO RADICAL, A HALOGEN ATOM OR A HYDROGEN ATOM; AR1, AR2 AND AR3 ARE EACH ARYL RADICALS; AND Z IS A GROUP VA ELEMENT, ARE USEFUL IN ELECTROGRAPHIC ELEMENTS. USEFUL ELEMENTS ARE COMPRISED OF A CONDUCTIVE SUPPORT HAVING THEREON A LAYER OF A PHOTOCONDUCTIVE COMPOSITION COMPRISED OF AN ELECTRICALLY INSULATING, FILM-FORMING ORGANIC BINDER AND AN YLID COMPOUND OF THE ABOVE FORMULA.
