The device shownjin Figures 1 through 3 comprises a fan 11 secured by' means of a set -screw -12 to one end of a shaft 13 forming the armature sha-ft of a motor 14 and supported in bea- rings 15 and 16 carried respectively by two shell sections 17 and 18 which together form a shell completely enclosing the motor 14. Inaddition, the shell sectionl 17 also carries o n its forward end a heating unit 19 comprising a plurality of converging bars 20 having their converging ends 21 secured together in any suitable manner as by bolting and having their diverging-ends 22 connected by means of struts '23 to fins 24 integral with and extendingffrom the forward end of the shell section 17.

I secure the frame 41 in 'bracket 50 and the stud 54 the unit may be swung into any desired position, that the construction herein shown makes an extremely light casing while still affording ample support to the operating and heating mechanism within the casing, that the motor shell formation herein shown prevents the air current traversing the interior of the motor and therefore minimizes the likelihood of the air current picking up oil or offensive odors occurring in the motor while at the same time permitting the air current to pass over and cool the motor, that each formation of heater frame herein shown provides a thoroughly rigid yet economical support for the heating element and at the same time serves to prevent and destroy circulatory eddies in the air current, that the rheostat control of the motor permits full control of the volume of air being delivered, either with the heating element on or without the heating element, to thus fully control the volume of thel air current under all conditions and also control the temperature of the air `when the'lieaterl is in o eration, and that the construction shwn in Fligure 4 provides a readily removable heating unit.
