PATENT OFFICE DESIGN FOR A COUNTER BRUSH Application February 11, 1936, Serial No. 61,094
Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Frederic J. Bickel, a citizen of the United States, and a resident of Cleveland, county of Cuyahoga, and State of Ohio, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Counter Brush, of which the following is a specication, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
In the accompanying drawing:
Fig. 1 is a perspective of a counter brush showing my new design;
Fig. 2 is a side elevation;
Fig. 3 is a plan View;
Fig. 4 is a transverse section of the back (omitting bristles), on the plane 4 4, Fig. 3.
Figs. 5 and 6 are transverse sections of the handles on the planes 5-5 and 6 6, respectively, Fig. 3.
The brush is characterized by having a back with a slightly elevated broad central stripe running its entire length and going down over the end of the brush remote from the handle, said stripe terminating at the handle end of the back in a point. The stripe is of a color or shade contrasting with the remainder of the back and of the handle.
The back o-f the brush is rounded at sides and corners and is shouldered at the handle end, with a sweeping flow into the lines of the handle.
The handle is joined to the back by a neck, and is rst enlarged, then reduced to a rounding but narrow end. The sides of the handle are rounded, but flatten and incline above and below, meeting at top and bottom in a longitudinal median ridge.
The shading is to indicate shape and color contrasts, and is not intended to indicate any particular color.
What I claim is:
The ornamental design for a counter brush substantially as shown and described.
FREDERIC J. BICKEL.
