Beit known that I, JOHN I'I. IiRINK, of Dctroit, county ol' \\\"ayne and State ol` Michigan, have originated and designed an Advertising- Desk, ot' which the following is a full` clear, and exact description, reference being had to the accompanying photographic illustration, and to the letters of reference marked thereon.

My design relates to that class of advertis ing-desks intended to be placed against the wall.

A is the front of a desk oi this class, having an inclinedftop, B, and a short horizontal portion, O, upon which the advertising frames or panels are mounted. The front ot' the table may be ornamented in any desirable man ner, since this portion forms no essential feature of my design.

The base I) for the advertising-panels is surrounded bya molding, a, and is supported above the horizontal portion O of the table upon turned posts b b, Sto. Upon this base are mounted the panels Ii), F, G, H, I, K, and T, which (except the latter) contain the advertising-cards desired to be displayed. The central palle] T is made the size ot' and designed to contain the ordinary printed railroad time-table, which` aside, from addingl to the usefulness otV the desk as an article ot' turniture, contributes to the pleasing ei'ect oil panel T. The lower row of panels l E E F IF E E E are of the same height, about halt' that otn T, those at I*` being about twice the size ot' those at E. Over this row are mounted the panels G Gr II H G Gr, which are so arranged as to break joints with those below, and those at H project about half` their length above T.A

Upon the top of T l mount the remaining panels I and K, which Iinish out the general pyramidal contour, as shown.

Upon the tops of the uppermost panels I place ornamental caps ot' triangular torm, shown at L L, Ste. These have indented sides, and their fronts may be relieved by suitable rosettes r.

As thus constituted, the design is neat and tasty, Iand is well calculated to attract the attention required of such articles of furniture.

Having now described my'design, what I claim as new and of my invention, is-

l. In a design fora wall advertising-desk, the combination, with the central panel T, otl other panels, arranged above and at the sides thereof, the several panels being ornamented and arranged substantially as shown and described.

2. The herein-described design t'or a wall advertising-desk, consisting oi' the table, the elevated bank ot panels, Iand the several panels arranged land ornamcnted substantially as shown and described.
