DESIGN FOR A TEXTILE FABRIC OR SIIVH- LAR ARTICLE OF MANUFACTURE Albert Schumacher, Passaic, N. J., assignor to Botany Worsted Mills, Passaic, N. J a corporation of New Jersey Application April 22, 1935, Serial No. 56,513
Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, Albert Schumacher, a citizen of the United States of America, residing at No. 40 Reid Avenue, in the city of Passaic, State of New Jersey, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a Textile Fabric or Similar Article of Manufacture. of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing, forming a part thereof.
Fig. 1 of the drawing is a face view of a piece of textile fabric embodying my design, while Fig. 2 shows a section thereof taken along the line 2-2 of Fig: 1.
The characteristic feature of the design resides in a plurality of comparatively short vertical grooves cut into the nap of the fabric, said grooves being arranged in series, the grooves within each series forming diagonal rows, the ends of each groove overlapping the ends of the next preceding and succeeding grooves, the corresponding grooves within each row being staggered with respect to the corresponding grooves of the adjacent rows thereby forming other diagonal rows of grooves, the inclination of said last rows being less than the inclination of said first rows.
I claim:
The ornamental design for a textile fabric or similar article of manufacture, substantially as shown and described.
ALBERT SCI-IUMACHER.
