Term of patent 14 years To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, William R. Cuthbert, a citizen of the United States, residing at Fort Madison, in the county of Lee and State of Iowa, have invented a new, original, and ornamental Design for a. Pencil, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawing forming a part thereof.

In the drawing:

Figure l is a front elevational view of a pencil embodying my new design, the pencil having a tapered end and an elongated clip with the contour of the upper end of the clip conforming sub stantially with the tapered end of the pencil; and

Fig. 2 is a side elevational view of Figure 1 showing the upper end of the clip merging into the tapered end of the pencil.

I claim:

The ornamental design for a pencil substantially as shown and described.
