The present disclosure relates to an eyelid opener used for mechanically (forcibly) opening upper and lower eyelids in situations such as ophthalmic surgery or administration of a drug into an eye. In use, a medical doctor or the like turns a screw in a state where eyelid pressing parts are engaged with the upper and lower eyelids to adjust a distance between the eyelid pressing parts as shown in Figures 1.9 and 1.10.
