Specification forming part of Design No. 7,961, dated December 29, 1874; application Eile(1 May 12, 1874. [Term of Patent 14 years] To ali whom it may concern.

Be it known that l', HARRY F. CORNING, of llartford,in the countyo't Hartford and State of Connecticut, have invented or produced a new and original Design for a lNIartingaie- Ring7 of which the tbllowing is a specification, reference being had to the accompanyin g drawing, where- Figure lis a perspective view of the ring attached to a inaI-tiug-.de-strap7 and with a rein running through the rin. Fig. 2 isa side view of the ring. Fig'. 3 is a view oi' the same in cross-section on the line v rv.

These rings are commonly made of hard rubber, and a proper size is, for this design, one and a halt' inch high by Iive-eigbths of an inch wide, inside measurement.

The bodv ol' the ring a (see Fig. 3) is round, with a raised and ornamental rib, 1),'.111 around the outside. The shape of the body of this rin g in cross-section is the saine at all points, and that cross-section is, aside from the raised ornamental rib or wing, a circle. The two longer sides rise from the base in parallel lines and at ri ght angles to the base, and the upper parts of the two longer sides unite in a partieilcular arch.
