DESIGN FOR A COOKING-STOVE- Specication forming part of Design No. 7,008, dated December 2, 1873; application filed September 12, 1873. [Term of Patent Se years] To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that we, NIcHoLAs S. VEDDER, a resident of Troy, in the county of Rensselaer and State oi' New York, and TOBIAs S.

HEIsTER, a resident of Lansingburg, in said county and State, have jointly invented and produced a new and original ornamental De sign for Cooking-Stoves, of Which the following is a speciiication, reference being had to the accompanying engraving of a cookingstove Which embodies our said new design.

One part of our invention consists of the design for the compound panel ornament D, composed of an open scroll, With a representation of a vine with leaves and grape-clusters on its open portion, and 0ak-leaves and acorns projecting from its curved ends, and aninverted heart-shaped ornament supported by brackets on the middle portion of the upper edge of the scroll, and leaf-like ornaments under the middle portion of the lower edge thereof, all shaped and disposed together, and upon a plate or panel of a stove, so as to appear substantially as represented in the aforesaid Wood-cut or engraving. f

Another part of our invention consists of the design for the door or panel at the end of the fire-chamber, as distinguished by the compound ornament E, composed of a scroll-like ornamental body, with a projecting ornament on the upper side, and a three-lobed ornament projecting from the under side and from each end of the scroll-like body, all shaped and arranged together, and upon the plain swelling surface of the rectangular panel, as represented in the aforesaid cut.

Another part consists of the design for the panel-border H, composed of the two outside united convex moldings a and b and the inside vine-like ornamentation f, having little clusters on the inner side, alternating With short stems on the outer side, all shaped and arranged together so as to appear substantiallj7 as shown in the aforesaid engraving.

We do not claim the design for the side plate, nor the design for the legs, as shown in the accompanying engraving ot' a cooking stove.

' Vhat We claim as our joint invention is- 1. The design for the compound ornament D, composed of the several parts herein specified, all shaped and arranged together, and upon a plate or panel of a stove, substantially as represented in the aforesaid engraving.

2. The design for the door or panel at the end of the fire-chamber, as distinguished by the ornament E, composed, shaped, and arranged on the plain surface of the rectangular panel, as described and shown. Y

3. The design for the panel-border H, coinposed of the two united outer convex moldings c b and the inner vine-like ornamentation f, as shown and described.
