DESIGN FOR SHAWL-PATTERN.
Spccilication forming part of Design No. 6,843, dated September 2, 1873; application filed August 9, 1873. [Term of Patent 3% years.)
To all whom 'it may concern:
Beit known that I, FREDERICK WINK, of the city and county of Philadelphia, State of Pennsyl'.'ania, have invented a Design for Shawl-Pattern, of which the following is a specification:
In the accompanying drawing, Figure lis a diagram, representing the relative arrangement of the parallel stripes A and B, of which my design for a shawl -pattern is composed; Fig. 2, an enlarged View of one-half of the stripe A; Fig. 3, a View of the stripe B.
The stripe A has a central bar, a, composed of three ornamental ribs, x, made up of dots and straight and angular dashes, between which are striped ribs y, of about the same width. The said stripe A has also a narrow ornamental rib, b, of the same character as the central rib a, and a series of ribs, d, ornamented by groups of dots, these several ornamented ribs being separated by parallel plain ribs of different widths and shades or colors. The stripe B has a center, e, precisely similar to the center a of the stripe A, and is otlier- Wise composed of plain parallel ribs.
Irrespective of the colors employed, I claim- 1.A The design for the stripe A, as shown and described.
2. The design for the whole pattern, including the stripes A and B.
