To all ywhom it may conce-rn:

Be it known that I, JQHN H. SMITH, of Enfield, Hartford county, and State of Connecticut, have invented or produced a new and original Design for a. Pattern to be Inwrought into Ingrain and other Carpeting, in colors similar to those painted on the drawing or photograph aeeom panyin g this specification, or in other colors substituted in the place 0f those painted on the drawing or photograph herewith; and I do hereby declare that the drawing accompanying this specification does give and convey to any one skilled in the art of carpet-weaving a defined and thorough de seription of the nature of my invention, and is suieient to enable any one skilled in the Iart of carpet-weaving to use my invention.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is

The configuration ofthe design hereunto annexed, when applied to carpeting in the form similar to the drawing or photograph eiceompanying this specification.
