DESIGN FOR A COOKING-STOVE.

Specilieation forming part of Design No. 5,162, dated August l, 1F71.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that we, NICHOLAS S. VEDDER., of the city ot' Troy, in the county of ltensselaer and State of New York, and TOBIAS S. HEISTER. ot' Lansingburg, in the said county and State, have jointly invented and produced a new Design for Stoves and Ranges, of whieh the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying photographic representation of a cookin g-stove having our said design.

One part of our invention consists ofthe compound ornamentA, shaped and arranged upon a door or plate of a stove or range so as to appear substantially as shown in the accompanying photograph. Another part of our new design consists of the compound ornament B, shaped and arranged upon a door or plate of a stove or range so as to present substantially the same appearance as is represented in the aforesaid photograph. Another part of' our design consists ot' the ornamental border C, shaped and arranged upon a door or doors, or plate or plates, ot' a stove or range, substantially as shown in the photograph. Another part of our invention consists in the combination ot' the compound panel ornament A and ornamental border C, all shaped and arranged together upon a door or plate of a stove or range so as to appear substantially as shown in the aforesaid photog 'aph, with or without the intervening molding d. Another part of our invention consists of the combination of the central ornament Band ornamental borderU, shaped and arranged together upon a door or plate ot' a stove or range so as to appear substantiall'yv as represented in the photograph. Another part ol' our invention consists ot' the mmhination ol' the ornamental border C and eentral ornament E, both shaped and arranged together upon a plate ot' a stove or range snbslantiall \',as shown in the photograph albresaid. Another part oi' our invention consists of the design for the leg F, as distinguished by the central ornament g, swelling surface l1., and ornamentation i, all shaped and arranged upon the upper portion of the leg as Shown in the photograph.

That we elaim as our invention is- 1. The ornament A, shaped and arranged on a door or pla-te ol' a stove or range, as herein described.

2. The ornament l, shaped and arranged as her `in deseribed.

3. The ornamental border U, shaped and arranged as herein described.

4. The combination of the ornament A and border (l, shaped and arranged as described, with or without al1 intervening molding. d.
