DESIGN FOR A WELL-CASING.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
To all whom'it may concern.'
Be it known that I, ERASTUS S. UUMMINS, of Clarence, in the county of Cedar and State of Iowa, have invented certain new and useful Design for W'ell- Oasing; and I do hereby declare that the following is a full, clear, and exact description thereof, reference 'being had tothe accompanying drawing, and to the letters of reference marked thereon, which forms a part of this specification.
The nature of my design is fully illustrated by the accompanying drawing; and
It consists in the peculiar construction of' a metallic well-casing.
A represents a metallic cylinder of any desired dimensions, having a flat bottom and a conical top, B.
From the apex of the cone B rises a pipe, C, as
shown, the cone forming shoulders for supporting the dirt around the well.
The cylinder is provided with perforations at a snit- Y n esses.
