DESIGN FOR A. LAMP-BURNER.

The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same To all whom it may concern:

Bc it known that I, JOSEPH BELL ALEXANDER, of the city and county of Washington, in the District of Columbia, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Lamp-Burners, of which the following is a specification. Y

The nature of my design is fully represented in the accompanying drawing, to which reference is made.

The peculiar configuration is most important to the production of a proper draught and perfect combustion, and consists of a pyramidal or conical shell, having its base-rim as a chimney-seat, a circlet of airholes just above the base-rim, and a circlet of curved leaves situated about midway between the base-rim and the apex of the cone, as a chimney-clamp, the form of the parts below the base-rim being about the saine as in other lamp-burners ot' the same class.

This peculiar configuration, as above described, is

that of a lamp-burner, for the peculiar construction and combination of parts of which Letters Patent were granted and issued to me December 14, 1865), but it will be perceived that, in the. illustration accompanying this case, I have made essential iuodiiications in the relative arrangement of' the several parts, whereby I have made a device exhibiting a more ornamental design, and it is this perfected shape and configuration which I desire to have secured by Letters Patent.

What I claim as my invention, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, is-

The form and configuration composing a design for a lamp-burner, substantially as described and set forth.
