EDGAR L. DRYDEN, OF COLLEGE SPRINGS, IOWA.
DESIGN FOR A CLOTHES-PIN.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,757, dated July 9, 1901.
Application filed ay 9, 1901. Serial No. 59,541- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, EDGAR L. DRYDEN, a citizen of the United States, residing at College Springs, in the county of Page and State of Iowa, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Clothes-Pin, of which the following is a specification.
This invention relates to a design for a clothes-pin, and the essential features reside in the clothes-pin as illustrated in the accompanying drawings, wherein Figure 1 is a perspective View of a clothespin embodying the features of the design. Fig. 2 is a top plan View of the same. Fig. 3 is a side elevation thereof.
The design is characterized by oppositelyextending arms 1, continuing from upwardlyprojecting curved members 2, which have their upper terminating portions 3 at reverse inward angles to each other and merging into a central coil 4 in a plane at a right angle to the planes of the said members 2. The coil 4 lies within the confines of the upwardly projecting members 2, the latter unitedly presenting an approximate heart-shaped central portion. At the point Where the arms emanate from the lower portions of the members 2 they cross each other, and at their outer ends said arms have reversely-directed hooks 5, open at the bottom.
Having thus described the invention, what is claimed as new is- The design for a clothes pin, as herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my own I have hereto afiixed my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
EDGAR L. DRYDEN.
