SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 34,524, dated May 21, 1901.
Application filed April 22, 1901; Serial No. 57,020- Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern:
Be it known that I, WALTER L. WILKs, of Wallingford, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have invented and produced a new Design for a Handle for Spoons, Forks, or Similar Articles; and I do hereby declare the following, when taken in conneclion with the accompanying drawing and the letters of reference marked thereon, to be a full, clear, and exact description of the same, and which said drawing constitutes part of this specification and represents a face view of a handle for a spoon embodying my design.
This invention relates to a design for a handle for spoons, forks, and similar articles.
As herein shown, the handle gradually expands from its inner end outward, and the outer end is rounded, the edges being regular. Surrounding the handle, at the edge, is a narrow border of beading, the beading being arranged with one oblong bead A alternating With two round beads B. Within the beading, at each side, is a scroll C, which extends to the outer end of the spoon, inclosing a panel D, upon which, at the outer end, is a shell ornamentation E, all as shown in the accompanying illustration.
I claim- The design for a handle for spoons, forks and similar articles as herein shown and described.
