PATENT OFFICE.

DESIGN FOR A WRENCH.
SPECIFICATION forming part of Design No. 31,361, dated August 8, 1899.
Application filed July 11,1899. Serial No. 723,506 Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom it may concern.-
Be it known that I, DEvILLo BALL, a citizen of the United States, residing at Laona, in the county of Chautauqua and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a W'rench, of which the following is a specification.
The invention relates to a new and original design for a wrench for vehicles; and it has for its object to provide a design of this character which will be both attractive and useful.
The essential feature of the design resides in a wrench having an approximately cylindrical head with a socket extending inward from one face of the head, said wrench being provided at the opposite face of the head with a tapering handle rounded at the edges.
In the drawings, Figure 1 is a perspective view of a wrench, showing my new and original design. Fig. 2 is a front elevation of the wrench. Fig. 3 is a rear elevation of the same.
Referring to the drawings, 1 designates a wrench provided with an approximately cylindrical head 2, having front and rear flat faces 3 and 4. and provided with a socket 5, extending inward from the front face of the head. The wrench is provided with a tapering handle 2, having rounded side edges 3 and offset from the front fiat face of the head, and the said handle, which is arranged contiguous t0 the rear face of the head, has its rear face arranged flush with and forming a continuation of the said rear face of the head. The side edges of the handle converge toward the outer end of the same and merge into the side faces of the head at the inner end of the handle.
What I claim is- The design for a wrench, herein shown and described.
In testimony that I claim the foregoing as my own I have hereto affixed my signature in the presence of two witnesses.
DEVILLO BALL.
