DESIGN FOR A KALEIDOSCOPE.
SPECIFICATION forming part f Design N. 31,020, dated June 13, 1899. Application filed Muy 13, 1899. Serial No. 716,749. Term of patent 7 years.
To all whom, it muy concern.-
Be it known that l, HORACE G. lVELTY, a citizen of the United States, residing at Cleveland, State of Ohio, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Kaleidoscope, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the aeeom panying drawings, forming a part thereof.
Figure 1 is a front elevation of the design, while Fig. 2 is a side elevation. Fig. 3 is a plan View, and Fig. 4 a sectional View on the line :c of Fig. 2.
The leading feature of my design is in the general arrangement of the parts and in the configuration produced by the arrangement, and the design also includes the shape of the various parts composing the device. The base A is of the shape shown, having a tapering upper part a, and secured to the base is a standard h, which supports a body part 13, which is substantially cylindrical, except that it has aVshaped incision C extending its full length on one side, as shown in Figs. l and 4. This V-shaped recess is lined with glass, as at c. A cap D surmounts the body l5 and has a eentral openngd. Supported immediately above the base is a disk E.
Having thus described my invention, what l elaim as new is- The design for a kaleidoscope as herein shown and described.
