lie it known that I, UHARIJGS .1. Airmanmanor, a citizen of the United States, residing in the city of New York, county of New York, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for a Cov- 'n'ed Dish, of which the following is a speeifiea' tion, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part hereof, like let ters referring to like parts in each figure of the same.

In the said drawings, Figure 1 is a side view of a covered dish embodyin my design. Fig. 2 is a plan viewof the cover. Fig. 3 is a plan view of the dish with cover removed. Fig. -11 is an end view of the dish and cover. Fig.

5 is a vertical section of the same on the line 5 5 of Fig. I).

The cover A has four sets of indentations 13 in its brim, giving its periphery a wavelike contour, with three small waves and one large wave alternated. 0n the under side of said brim is a ledge 0, running around the same, parallel with its periphery and having the same wave-like contour. It is also parallel to the upper edge D of the dish, within which it fits. The indentations of the upper edge 1) are carried down the sides of the dish, forming the furrows E on its outer surface, which extend down to the base F, the said base being of corresponding contour to the upper edge.

The cover has furrows G running from the indentations in the peripherytoward the ham dle I[, where they are merged in the surface.

The handle is of oval form, with a depressed portion at the upper part in the center, and is provided with leafed ornamentations On either side of the handle, on the upper su rface of the cover, is a fillet-like ornament J, and a little farther removed therefrom, on either side, is anotherornament K, which consists of a centerpiece it of combined escalloped and arabesque ornamentations, with leafed ornaments 7;" on either side and a rosette 7: beneath said centerpiece with leafed ornaments on either side of: it. A similarornament K is found at either end of the hair-- die on the upper surface of the cover.

The base is provided on either side with three small ornaments L.

The handles M of the dish proj eat from either end of the same at the bulged portion thereof and are ornamented similarly to the handle II of the cover, having also beneath them, on the outer surface of the dish, two fillet-like ornaments N and an acorn-like ornament N.
