DESIGN FOR A GRATEQBAR.

To all whom it may concern:

Be it known that I, DWIGHT S. RICHARDSON, residing in the city, county, and State of New York, have invented and produced a new and original Design for Grate-Bars, of which the following is a specification, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, forming a part thereof.

In said drawings, Figures 1 and 2 are elevations from different points of view of a gratebar embodying my present design. Fig. 3 is a cross-section on the line 00 Fig. 4 is a cross-section on the line 1 y.

Like letters of reference indicate the same parts in all the figures.

The leading features of the present design are the plain faces of the triangular gratebar with the transverse openings extending through the bar from face to face.

The letter A indicates the plain faces of the grate-bar, triangularly disposed with relation to each other, giving the bar a triangular form in cross-section, as illustrated in Figs. 3 and 4:-

]3 indicates the transversely-elon gated openin gs in each face of the bar, extending through to each of the other faces and giving each face a uniform appearance.

The design is applicable to grate-bars for fuel-burners generally.

Having thus described my invention; what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent is The design for a grate-bar herein shown and described.
